10 Useful Tips & Tricks for Older BlackBerry’s

    Turn on backlighting

  1. Press “Power” button
  2. Switch to another program

  3. Hold the “Alt key” and press the “Escape” button. Continue to hold the “Alt key” and select application. Release the “Alt key” to switch to that program
  4. Exit a screen or dialog box

  5. Press the “Escape” button
  6. Insert a full stop

  7. Press the “Space” key twice. The next letter is put in uppercase
  8. Type a special character

  9. Hold the letter key and roll the trackwheel/trackball click selected character
  10. Capitalize a letter

  11. Hold the letter key until the capitalized letter appears
  12. Move the cursor in a different direction

  13. Hold the “Alt key” and roll the trackwheel/trackball
  14. Selecting a line of text

  15. Press the “Shift key” and roll the trackwheel/trackball
  16. Moving to top of screen

  17. Press “1”
  18. Moving to bottom of screen

  19. Press “7”
