RIM (Research In Motion) has been really busy lately delivering a lot of good stuff in the weeks and months to come. The latest update is that Desktop Manager 4.5 is now officially released. (as opposed to it being available unofficially for quite awhile) Nothing really crazy new in this release but it is news.

Have you ever wanted to save an email to the memo pad and didn’t have a fancy 3rd party application to do it, well guess what now you can, Atomichelix.com has released Notify! for BlackBerry.

It serves one function and one function only. It lets you save your email and export it into a memo. Its a simple application very small less than 10k that from the email list view or the actual email itself add a function the regular menu “save to memopad”, simply click here and voila the memo is added to your memos, isn’t that great.

Mixology.mobi

I came across this mobile website Mixology.mobi while reading an article on it over at another great BlackBerry site. This mobile website definitely won a place on my bookmarks list. It has everything from how to mix over 100 drinks to great bar jokes. They also throw in the rules for 10 different drinking games. It will even try to help you find a good bar near you, and recover from a hangover!

The list of drink recipes range from the usual to the odd to the just downright bizarre. For example here are some names:

Usual: Mojito, Rusty Nail, Long Island Ice Tea
Odd: Skittle Vodka, Scooby Snack, Mind Eraser
Bizarre: Sex With An Alligator, Oatmeal Cookie, Gladiator

Question: Can you tell me how to save my blackberry browser bookmarks so I may use them on another blackberry?

To save your BlackBerry Browsers Bookmarks to view them on other BlackBerry devices you will simply use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager Software to select strictly only the Browser Bookmarks using the Backup and Restore feature on the BlackBerry Desktop Managers Main Menu.

OrionGadgets

To upload the bookmarks onto a different BlackBerry Device, you will do the same process just this time you are going to import the file Bookmarks we just saved from the PC to the BlackBerry.

Alternative Transfer Method

You will navigate to the Bookmarks folder on your BlackBerrys Browser (press
K
while in the Browser or navigate to it by Menu-Bookmarks
) highlight a Bookmark then hit Menu to give you more options now choose “Send Bookmark“.

Now choose from the available methods;
Email, MMS, PIN, SMS Text.

Next choose the recipient (if sending via a text message), then hit send. Now open the text msg, highlight the link, hit the Menu key and choose “Get Link“, this will launch the browser. Once the bookmark link is loaded hit “A” to add and save the Bookmark.
