EDGE - Enhanced Data GSM Evolution

A 3G technology which is faster compared to GPRS and is recognized by the ITU. EDGE enables data to be delivered at speeds up to 384 Kbps. The standard is based on the GSM standard and uses TDMA multiplexing technology.
