RIM’s BlackBerry Bold 9000 just finished passing thru the FCC’s testing process and received its FCC Approval allowing for it to be sold in the United States soon. Now we’re likely just over a month away from a release and the only remaining question is will the Bold stand the heat from the ever popular iPhone 3G? Will people still be excited about it?
Quick highlight recap
- Quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz)
- Tri-band UMTS (850/1900/2100) with HSDPA support
- WiFi
- 480 x 320 pixel display
- New UI including full-HTML browser
- 1500 mAh battery
So theres the scoop, we’re closer than ever to a release; which by the way should happen on AT&T in mid August according to various sources. Someone asked if T-Mobile was getting the Bold, hmm as far as we know its Exclusive to AT&T but a cheaper version of the Bold (Non 3G) might be the model T-Mobile gets…lol eat the scraps up.
