Access Other Applications While on a Phone Call
Check your Calendar and create/edit appointments while on the phoneYou can access other applications while on a phone call. If, for example, you want to:

Simply select “Home Screen” from the menu (or, on BlackBerry 8700 Series and BlackBerry 7100 Series devices, press Escape).

Then press the Phone/SEND button or select the Phone application to return to the Active Call screen.

For newer BlackBerry Models ex. 8100’s - 8300’s - 8800’s
