BlackBerry Calling Tips

Access Other Applications While on a Phone Call
Check your Calendar and create/edit appointments while on the phoneYou can access other applications while on a phone call. If, for example, you want to:

  • 1. Send and receive SMS while on the phone
  • 2. Compose an email that will be sent as soon as you are off the phone

Simply select “Home Screen” from the menu (or, on BlackBerry 8700 Series and BlackBerry 7100 Series devices, press Escape).

Then press the Phone/SEND button or select the Phone application to return to the Active Call screen.

For newer BlackBerry Models ex. 8100’s – 8300’s – 8800’s

  • Simply hit the escape key and choose ok to exit to Home Screen.
  • To get back to the Call Screen simply hit the Call / Talk key
