How to Format A MicroSD Memory Card for Use With Your BlackBerry

This procedure will erase all data on your card. It is recommended that you have a recent backup of your data; unless you are willing to lose it.

  • Search for MicroSDHC Memory Cards at Amazon.com – Low Prices Guaranteed!
  1. From the Home screen, press the Menu button.

  2. Select Options then press in on the trackball.
  3. Select Media Card then press in on the trackball.

  4. Press the Menu button, select Format Card then press in on the trackball.

  5. Select Yes then press in on the trackball.

  6. Press in on the trackball to chose OK.

The process is now complete. You can now begin to upload your Files/Media to your BlackBerry Handheld Device. The memory card will have the following folder structure:

    Blackberry

  • music
  • pictures
  • ringtones
  • system
  • videos
  • voicenotes

Place Files/Media into the corresponding folder. ex. Music into the Music folder etc.
