A popular gadget site site has seeped out the news that RIM will soon launch a BlackBerry 9000 generation phone.
A major iPhone rival is Research In Motion’s (RIMM) BlackBerry. We are calling the phone 9000 series-generation because we are not sure what the device will be exactly called. However, gossip tells us that the name will surely will begin with 9 followed by some other numbers. The devices may appear to be aimed at vastly different audiences, but they overlap in an increasing number of ways. BlackBerry phones now play music and video, while iPhones handle text messaging and e-mail, and are increasingly in demand among business users.
The BlackBerry 9000 series, as yet only the subject of rumor, is said to look an awful lot like an iPhone.
The somewhat known features of the BlackBerry soon-to-be-revealed mobile phone include 3G capabilities, 627 Mhz CPU processor. It will sport Wi-Fi. Built in GPS. Also talk of a 3 Megapixel Camera, for both picture taking and video recording. Something cool to point out the new BlackBerry will have 1 Gigabyte of on board memory and as always expandable up to 32 Gigabytes! Upgrade over the air, capabilities to watch streaming videos and TV. Quad-Band of course.
You will also find an automatic back-up/restore program, which supports the memory cards placed onto the phone.
RIM BlackBerry 9000 series of handset is expected to be introduced in early 2008.
